Section 31 in The U.P. Electricity Reforms Act, 1999
31. Electricity supply and overall performance standards.
(1)The Commission may, from time to time, in consultation with the licensees, the Electricity Advisory Committee and any other person as it thinks fit :-(a)determine such standards of overall performance in respect of electricity supply services and promotion of the efficient use of electricity by consumers, as in its opinion, are economical and ought to be achieved by such licensees, and different standards may be determined for different licensees; and(b)publish the standards so determined in such form and in such manner as the Commission may consider proper.
