Section 10 in THE THUNCHATH EZHUTHACHAN MALAYALAM UNIVERSITY ACT, 2013
10. Tenure of the General Council.-(1) The tenure of the General Council shall be three
years.(2)Every member of the General Council other than an ex-officio member shall,subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, hold office until reconstitution of theGeneral Council:provided that no member nominated or elected in his capacity as a member of aparticular body or as the holder of a particular office shall serve as a member of the GeneralCouncil once he ceases to hold that office, except for a period of thirty days thereafter.(3)When a person ceases to be a member of the General Council, he shall ceaseto be a member of any of the authorities of the University of which he may happen to be amember by virtue of the membership in the General Council.
