Section 2 in Rules for the Grant of Rewards to forest Subordinates for Service Rendered towards Capture of Elephants

The District Forest Officer should submit proposals for the disbursement of rewards to the Conservator immediately after capture but 50 per cent of the amounts proposed may be disbursed in anticipation of such sanction, the remainder being withheld for six months, or until the animals are sold, as the case may be, provided that, in the former case, the elephants are then found to be properly trained and in good health.
