9. Discipline.
(1)The Vice Chancellor shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline in the University and his orders in this regard shall be carried out by the officers and authorities of the University.(2)Notwithstanding anything in sub-section (1), the punishment of debarring a student from an examination of the University or rusticating him from the University or hostel or an institutions of the d or any other punishment of such serious nature, shall be imposed only by the Executive Council on receipt of a report from the Vice Chancellor :Provided that the Executive Council shall impose such a punishment only after giving the student concerned a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
