Section 39(1) in Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 F
(1)The Police shall take temporary charge of the following property:-(a)all unclaimed property found by or made over to them; and(b)all property found lying in any street, if the owner or person in charge of such property, on being directed, refuses or fails to remove the same from the street;
