(2)Where a public drain or any place approved by the Board for the discharge of filth and other polluted and obnoxious matter is situated at a distance not exceeding 30 mts. from any part of the premises, the Board may, by written notice, require the owner of the said premises(a)to make a drain emptying into such public drain or place;(b)to remove, cover, augment, replace or re-model any existing drain emptying into such public drain or place, or other appliance or thing used or intended to be used for drainage in relation to such existing drain, if such existing drain or appliance or thing is inadequate, insufficient, faulty or injurious to health.
