Section 1 in The Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu.(3)It shall [come into force on such date] [Came into force on the 21st day of September 2001 vide G.O. Ms. No. 35, Revenue, [LAI (1)], dated 21.9.2001.] as the Government may, by notification, appoint.
