Section 14 in The Bengal Agricultural And Sanitary Improvement Act, 1920
14. Compulsory Acquisition of land needed for the purposes of this Act. -
The [State Government] [Word substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937 and the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950, respectively.] may, at the request of the Collector, acquire, under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, any land required for the purpose of this Act."Land" in this section has the same meaning as in clause (a) of section 3 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
