(1)The rigging equipment including cranes for material handling shall be checked prior to and during its use to ensure that it is safe.(2)The rigging equipment shall not be loaded in excess of its recommended safe working load.(3)While operating cranes in the vicinity of overhead electric transmission line, adequate precaution shall be taken against accidental contact with the electric transmission line unless the same is kept deenergised during movement of the crane.(4)The rigging equipment and crane shall be inspected by a competent person at such interval and in accordance with the procedure as laid down by the manager or installation manager of the mine and he shall record the results of the inspection.
