Section 100(1) in Punjab Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads Finance, Budget and Accounts Rules, 2014
(1)The person using the vehicle shall note in the log-book in his own hand, the meter reading at the start and at the completion of each journey He shall also indicate whether the journey undertaken was an official duty and if so the purpose of the journey shall he briefly recorded. It shall not be enough merely to state that the journey was official.
