Section 5 in The Orissa Statistics and Economics Service Rules, 1979

5. Departmental Promotion Committee.

- [(1) There shall be constituted a Departmental Promotion Committee for selection of Officers for promotion to Class-II and Class-I posts in the Orissa Statistics and Economics Service.
(2)The Departmental Promotion Committee shall consists of; -
(a) Additional Development Commissioner and Secretary toGovernment. P. and C. Department. Chairman
(b) Special Secretary/Additional Secretary to Government P. and C.Department. Member
(c) Director, Economics and Statistics, Orissa. Member
(d) Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary to Government in P. and C.Department incharge of Gazetted establishment of the Directorateof Economics and Statistics. Member-Secretary
