Section 18(3) in The Calcutta Metropolitan Water And Sanitation Authority Act, 1966
(3)The Board may appoint such other officers and employees as it considers necessary for the efficient performance of the functions of the Authority:Provided that in respect of officers and employees whose maximum salary does not exceed Rs. 1,000 per month, the Board may delegate its power to appoint to the General Manager.
