Section 8(3) in Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(3)Any casual vacancy in the office of the Deputy Mayor or other member referred to in sub-section (1) by reason of death, resignation, removal or otherwise shall be filled up by the Mayor:Provided that no act or proceedings of the Mayor-in-Council shall be called in question or shall become invalid merely by reason of any vacancy in the office of the Deputy Mayor or other members referred to in sub-section (1).
