Section 6(2) in Chhattisgarh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Rules, 2014
(2)Any Police Officer, who is not below the rank of Head Constable or any Competent Authority shall take the following actions in order to ensure the strict compliance of provisions of Section 4, 5 and 6 of the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 2004 (No. 28 of 2006) or in order to satisfy himself that the above mentioned provisions are complied with, namely :-(a)He shall be able to stop any vehicle, which is being used or is expected of being used for export of Agricultural cattle or its beef and shall also be able to enter and investigate it;(b)Such Agricultural cattle, about which there is suspicion that any provision of Section 4, 5 and 6 is violated, is being violated, or will be violated, shall seize along with the vehicle in which such Agricultural cattle or its beef was found or shall be able to authorize for its seizer and after this shall be able to make all the arrangements for producing it before the court and shall also ensure safe custody of thus acquired Agricultural cattle and vehicle till the pendency of the trial.
