Section 1 in The Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority Act, 2014
1. Short title, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority Act, 2014.(2)It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act.(3)It applies to all the Tanks, ponds, lakes in the Karnataka State located outside the limits of all Municipal Corporations and Bangalore Development Authority or any other water bodies as may be notified by the Government.
