Section 29(1) in The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (C.G.) Adhiniyam, 1987
(1)The Academic Council shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall consist of the following members namely :-(i)The Vice-Chancellor-Chairman;(ii)Directors of Research, Extension and Instructions;(iii)Deans of Faculties in the Colleges and in the University;(iv)One teacher from each Faculty of the University to be elected from amongst themselves in the manner prescribed by Statutes;(v)Three officers/teachers of the sister Agricultural Universities co-opted by Academic Council for their special knowledge in subjects recognised by the University.(vi)Heads of the Department of all faculties.
