37. Summary disposal of cases, Central Act 2 of 1974.
(1)Notwithstanding anything in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, an offence punishable under this Act may also be tried summarily under the provisions of Chapter XXI of the said Code:Provided that no sentence of imprisonment for a term exceeding three months shall be passed in any such case tried summarily.(2)All offences under this Act shall be cognizable but bailable in the manner provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974).
