Section 4(4) in Gujarat Electricity Regulatory' Commission (Forecasting, Scheduling, Deviation Settlement and Related Matters of Solar and Wind Generation Sources) Regulations, 2019
4.2In order to maintain system security, stability & reliability, the grid operator shall consider the Wind & Solar Power Generation forecast in the mid-term to long term, day ahead & intra-day operation, for planning, and the process of scheduling. The grid operator shall make full use of the flexibility from conventional power plant as well as the capacity of inter grid tie lines to accommodate the maximum Wind & Solar Power while maintaining grid security.
