Section 4 in Gujarat Electricity Regulatory' Commission (Forecasting, Scheduling, Deviation Settlement and Related Matters of Solar and Wind Generation Sources) Regulations, 2019
4. Objective.
- 4.1. The objective of these Regulations is to facilitate large-scale grid integration of solar and wind generating stations while maintaining grid stability and security as envisaged under the Grid Code, through forecasting, scheduling and commercial mechanism for deviation settlement of the generators.4.2In order to maintain system security, stability & reliability, the grid operator shall consider the Wind & Solar Power Generation forecast in the mid-term to long term, day ahead & intra-day operation, for planning, and the process of scheduling. The grid operator shall make full use of the flexibility from conventional power plant as well as the capacity of inter grid tie lines to accommodate the maximum Wind & Solar Power while maintaining grid security.
