Section 14 in The Bombay Weights and Measures Act, 1932
14. Stamping and verification of weights and measures.
(1)No weight or measure shall be used for trade unless it has been verified or re-verified in the prescribed manner and stamped by an inspector with a stamp of verification under this Act.(2)Government may prescribe the amount of error to be tolerated in weights or measures or weighing or measuring instrument used for trade.
