(1)This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Area Development Act, 1976.(2)It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [ Enforced on 18th Dec., 1976, Vide Notification No. 41000/XII (AD-1440-76, dated 18-12-1976] as the State Government may by notification appoint in this behalf, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different areas.
