12. Filling of casual vacancies.
(1)Whenever a vacancy occurs by death, resignation or removal, or by vacation of a seat for any other reason, the vacancy shall be filled within six months of the occurrence of such vacancy:Provided that no election shall be held to fill a casual vacancy occurring within six months prior to the holding of a general election.(2)Every person elected or nominated to fill a casual vacancy shall be elected or nominated to serve for the remainder of his predecessor`s term of the office.(3)If the vacancy be a vacancy reserved for any category, the vacancy will be filled from the same category.
