Section 1 in West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1953
1. Short title and extent.
(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1953.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal except the areas described in Schedule I of the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951 (West Bengal Act No. 33 of 1951), as deemed to have been amended under section 594 of that Act.
