Section 4 in The Gujarat Backward Classes Development Corporation Act, 1985
4. Establishment and incorporation of Corporation.
(1)For the purpose of securing the uplift of backward class citizens in the State of Gujarat the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Corporation by the name of the Gujarat Backward Classes Development Corporation with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification.(2)The Corporation shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name and shall be competent to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract and do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act.
