Section 36(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(1)Every Non-Gazetted Officer of the Armed Police on first appointment shall be issued a certificate of appointment in the form given in Schedule-II to this Act and insignia bearing the acronym `H.P.A.P.' and a distinctive enrolment number that shall run serially for the entire Armed Police, separately for the Non-Gazetted Police Officers Grade-II, and for Non- Gazetted Police Officers Grade-I.
