Section 5(i) in The U.P. Basic School Teachers (Savings-Cum-Insurance) Rules, 1976
(i)Every teacher between the age of 18 and 60 years, not being a teacher appointed on temporary basis or for a specified period only, shall be eligible to become Member of the Scheme.
