(2)The [Municipality] [Substituted vide Orissa Act No. 11 of 1994 w.e.f. 31.5.1994.] may entrust to any other local authority with the consent of such authority the maintenance of any public road or portion thereof, the cost of maintenance being provided by the [Municipality] [Substituted vide Orissa Act No. 11 of 1994 w.e.f. 31.5.1994.].
