Section 3(1) in The Mizoram Autonomous District Council (Constitution and Conduct of Business of the District Councils) Rules, 1974
(1)Except where the context otherwise requires, the General Clauses Act, 1897 and the Assam General Clauses Act, shall apply for the interpretation of these Rules as they apply for the interpretation of the Act of Parliament or of the Rules of Legislature of Mizoram as the case may be.
