Section 14(3) in The Orissa Secretariat Service Rules, 1980
(3)Officers appointed to any grade of the service for the first time on the basis of select lists prepared under these rules shall be on probation for a period of one year :Provided that the period of ad hoc appointment made under Sub-rule (2) shall not count towards the period of probation.
