Section 28(1) in Mahatma Gandhi University Act 1985
(1)There shall be a Board of Studies attached to each Department of Study in the University;(A)Each Board of Studies shall consist of --(a). the Head of the Department as its Chairman;(b). such number of members as may be prescribed by the Statutes, nominated by the Chancellor from among the teachers of the University and of the Colleges, by rotation(c). such number of members as may be prescribed by the Statutes, nominated by the Chancellor from among persons who are experts in the field of education.Provided however that post-graduate studies in each department may have separate Board of Studies.
