Section 21(2) in The Maharashtra Land Revenue Circle Officers and Circle Inspectors, (Duties and Functions) Rules, 1970
(2)Every Circle Officer or, as the case may be, Circle Inspector shall show in his diary the number of entries checked, the number of entries found incorrect and the number and kind of errors detected. Whenever any errors are to be corrected, he shall do so in red ink by bracketing the error and inserting the correct entries by inter lineation or, side notes or, by inserting entirely fresh entries by his signature. Where any gross carelessness is noticed, he shall take the Talathi's explanation and forward it to the Tahsildar for orders.
