Section 3(2)(b) in Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admissions into Post Graduate Engineering Including Technology/Pharmacy/ Architecture and Planning Courses (through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2007

(b)The Category 'A' seats shall be 80% of sanctioned intake of seats in Post Graduate Engineering Including Technology/ Pharmacy /Architecture and Planning Courses. These seats shall be filled with eligible candidates on the basis of Rank obtained in GATE and vacant seats left-over, if any, on the basis of rank obtained at PGECET/PGECET-AC (as the case may be) following the procedure laid down in Rule 6 (ii) and Rules of Reservation laid down in Rule 7.
