Section 5(i) in The Inland Waterways of India Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion Regulations, 1992
(i)by the Chairman upto a maximum of 3 years where the minimum experience prescribed is 10 years or more and upto a maximum of 2 years where the minimum experience prescribed is 5 to 9 years; if these is shortage of suitable candidates or if selected candidate is highly qualified than required under the Regulations :
