(a)The distiller shall give such notice in writing as the Excise Commissioner may prescribe of the transfer of spirit from the spirit receivers to the spirit store-room and of wash from the fermenting vessels or wash back to the still. He shall also state the percentage of proof spirit contained in the wash immediately before the distillation thereof. This percentage shall be determined by means of instruments approved by the Excise Commissioner.(b)Periodical stoppage of distillation: The distiller shall comply such orders as may be prescribed by the Excise Commissioner for the periodical stoppage of distillation for the purpose of ascertaining the quantity of spirit distilled from the quantity of wash passed into the still.
