Section 5(5)(a) in The Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1998

(a)to institute Professorships, Readerships, Lecturerships and any other academic or teaching posts required by the Vishwavidyalaya and to appoint persons to such posts in accordance with the provisions of this Act;
