Section 203(a) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(a)no part of a building is used as support or part of a scaffold unless such part of the building is made of sufficient strength and made of sound material to accord safe support;
