Section 15(2) in Manipur International University Act, 2018

(2)Notwithstanding anything, contained in clause (1) the University may make special provisions in the regulations for the employment or protection of educational interests of women, differently abled persons or of persons belonging to the weaker sections of the society or tribal and in particular of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes as may be directed by the Governing Board from time to time:Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent religious instruction being given in the manner prescribed by the Ordinances to those who have consented to receive it, or, in the case of minors, whose parents or guardians have given their consent thereto in writing:Provided further that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent where in such special cases or where such test is specially prescribed by the Statutes or in respect of any particular benefaction accepted by the University or when such test is made ,a condition thereof by any testamentary or, other instrument creating such benefaction:Provided also that nothing in this section shall be deemed to require the University to admit students to any course of study larger in number than, or with academic or other qualifications lower than, those prescribed:Provided also that nothing in this- section shall be deemed to prevent the University to make special provision for the spread of University education among classes and communities or persons which/who are from the classes of a religious minority or educationally or economically backward:Provided also that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making special provisions for admission to the students domiciled in the State.
