Section 41(41) in The Railway Protection Force Rules, 1987
41.1The primary functions of the enrolled members of the Force shall be-(a)to protect and safeguard railway property and to combat crime against it;(b)to do any other act conductive to better protection and security of railwayproperty;(c)to remove any obstruction in the movement of railway property; and(d)to perform other functions of an armed force of the Union and to exercisepowers of a railways servant as conferred by or under the [Indian Railways Act, 1980.] [Now see the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989). ]
