Section 41(5) in Birsa Munda Tribal University Act, 2017
(5)The Board of University Teaching and Research shall,-(i)advise the authorities on all matters connected with the promotion of advanced studies and research in the university;(ii)consider and report to the authorities on the institution of research degrees in the University;(iii)propose regulations regarding the award of research degrees;(iv)appoint supervisors for research studies and to determine the subjects of their thesis;(v)recommend panels of experts for setting examination papers and examiners for research and examinations after considering the proposals of the Board of Studies in this behalf;(vi)perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
