Section 61(6)(b) in Periyar University Act, 1997

(b)provide courses of study for admission to the examination for degrees of the Chennai University, shall be deemed to be colleges affiliated to the Periyar University under this Act and the provisions of this Act shall, as if an as may he apply accordingly.
