(6)All colleges including oriental colleges, within the University area which immediately before the notified date-(a)continue to be affiliated to or recognised by the Chennai University; and(b)provide courses of study for admission to the examination for degrees of the Chennai University, shall be deemed to be colleges affiliated to the Periyar University under this Act and the provisions of this Act shall, as if an as may he apply accordingly.
