Section 1 in The Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation Act, 2000
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation Act, 2000.(2)It shall extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra excluding the notified cantonment and urban areas, but shall cover irrigation project schemes having irrigable command area up to [600] [Substituted '250' by Maharashtra Act No. 52 of 2018, dated 10.8.2018.] hectares.(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 22nd August 2000.
