544. Elimination of names of deceased persons and of persons acquitted on appeal.
(a)On receipt from station officers of the lists of persons whose names have been removed from the conviction register, the headquarters Court officer shall, after making the necessary corrections in his register, forward the lists to the Superintendent, who shall satisfy himself that the register and indices have been corrected.(b)Names of persons acquitted on appeal shall be struck off the index as soon as intimation is received by the Court officer.
