Section 27(2) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(2)Distribution of arms to districts shall be fixed on the order of the Director-General of Police, who by means of Standing Orders shall lay down the procedures to be followed for custody and care of arms, ammunition, stock of material for repair and maintenance, and the manner in which damaged and unserviceable weapons are to be disposed off and the procedure in case of loss of any weapon or ammunition.
