Section 9(1)(a) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(a)Admission to the First year classes under annual/ semester basis of the courses specified, for which the Council of Joint Entrance Examination holds the entrance test, shall be completed by 70th day of the date of entrance test.
