7. Objectives of the University.
- The objectives for which the University is established are as follows:-(a)To establish courses of study ,research and to provide instruction and training in such branches of study as the University deems appropriate including medical sciences, dental sciences, nursing, pharmacy, paramedical and allied health sciences, science, engineering and technology, biotechnology, yoga sciences, management, rural development humanities, and other branches of higher education;(b)To provide for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge derived through research and experiential learning to larger audiences for the benefits of mankind through seminars, conferences, workshops, educational programs, community development programs, publications, training programmes and study groups etc;(c)To undertake extra mural-studies , extension programs and field outreach activities to contribute to the development of society;(d)To do all such things as may be necessary, incidental or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the objectives of the University;(e)To carry out teaching of research and offer continuing education programmes;(f)To provide consultancy to the industry and other organizations.
