(2)(a)During the leave or absence of the Vice-Chancellor, or(b)in the event of a permanent vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor. until an appointment is made under sub-section (1) of section 12 to that office, the Director General of the University shall carry on the current duly of the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
