1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the [ Karnataka] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptions of Laws order 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.] Irrigation Act, 1965.(2)It extends to the whole of the [State of Karnataka] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptions of Laws order 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.].(3)It shall be come into force on such [ date] [This Act came into force on 1.1.1966 by notification. Text of notification is at page 299.] as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
