Section 12(1) in The Merchant Shipping (Fire Appliances) Rules, 1969
(1)Every ship of Class I shall be provided with water service pipes, hydrants and hoses such that an adequate supply of water for rapid and simultaneous operation of at least two fire hoses, not emanating from the same hydrant, for the projection of two powerful jets of water would be available.
