Section 216(1) in The Howrah Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(1)The Corporation may [* * * * *] [Words ', with the previous sanction of the State Government,' omitted by W.B. Act 17 of 1995.] make regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder for discharging its functions under this Act.
